I was fascinated by the inherent beauty of natural patterns and shapes, which I sought to incorporate into my work. The table’s design is a result of my exploration of the Fibonacci tree pattern, a sequence that appears throughout the natural world. The table’s structure is composed of welded steel links, arranged in a Fibonacci tree pattern, using the numbers 8, 5, 3, 2, 1,1. This pattern creates a stunning geometric pattern when viewed from above.
Biomimicry was a key inspiration in the creation of this table. I wanted to capture the beauty and efficiency of natural structures, while also creating a functional piece of furniture. The structure’s strength and stability are a result of the Fibonacci sequence, which is found in everything from seashells to tree branches. The use of welded steel links provides durability and a modern aesthetic, while the round glass tabletop adds a touch of elegance to the design.
The Tetra Table is not just a functional piece of furniture, but a work of art that brings the beauty of nature into any living space. The use of biomimicry in this design creates a harmonious blend of form and function, resulting in a timeless piece that is sure to inspire and delight for years to come.
